A marine biologist, having begun my career working for various marine restoration organisations across the Maldives, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. I returned to Australia to undertake a masters degree at the University of Western Australia and joined the Wernberg & Filbee-Dexter Lab.

My thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Karen Filbee-Dexter, aims to explore tropicalisation through shifting habitats along the South West coast of Australia. Areas historically dominated by kelp are observed to contain increasing numbers of coral recruits at the fringe or beyond their understood thermal tolerance limits. Quantifying shifts in habitat domination is important to understand the rates of climate driven change, predicting future ecosystem structure and possibly inform management decisions of important species of both coral and kelp.
